Upon the first glances of looking at Alex Lukas’s landscapes one might imagine that they are representations of the end of times but Lukas’s scenes are not post-apocalyptic or void of humanity.  The time in which they exist are expressively ambiguous and the hint of human life can be found as one immerses themselves into the pieces.  Alex lives and works in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
